The signs were always there: Allison and her sister were constantly rearranging their childhood bedroom, just for the fun of it. She also spent a lot of time drawing and sewing, and when at her father’s building supply store, playing on the carpets and thumbing through the wallpaper books.

 

Inspired from her father’s example as a successful business owner, Allison pursued the creative business field of advertising, earning her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin. After serving in corporate, non-profit, and agency positions, Allison went out on her own and formed APS Advertising & Design, Inc. She enjoyed a successful home-based business for over 20 years where she became proficient in computer-aided graphic design.

 

When not working, Allison spent her free time painting, creating mosaics, fusing glass, and designing furniture. Even with these creative outlets, she could not get the desire to practice interior design out of her head so went back to college and earned her degree in interior design in 2009.

Allison’s interior design responsibilities have included: contractor project management; material selection and installation; space planning; remodeling (including kitchens and bathrooms); and home staging.

​

With her focus on her interior design career full-time, Allison truly loves everything about it! With a knack for discovering what works for her clients in terms of style and function, she strives to make the design process easy and fun. Allison's graphic design skills have come in handy to envision end results and her business background provides for an organized and transparent process. She’s creative, patient, passionate, and professional, and can’t wait to get started on the next interior design project!

Allison lives in Dallas with Jack, her husband of over 30 years, and their beloved 15-year-old dog, Suzi. They take any chance they can to spend time with their two grown human children, Julianne and Grant, who have flown the nest!
